What I would like to show with this visualization is how generosity might not be just measured by the absolute amount donated by the countries. This is achieved by re-ranking the countries and plotting the amount of money per population donated by the country. This emphasis is further made by placing this graph on the right. The plots and the country names are also shaded by color. Green represents higher than the world average while red represents lower than the world average. This color is also transferred to the plot on the left which shows the absolute amount.

While I tried to reconcile the two graphs by drawing connecting lines for the re-arranged countries, I found that it only made the visualization more confusing. Instead, I hope that the color transfer should be sufficient.
