Thank you for volunteering to participate in our study. Our app is aimed to help singers practice singing individually and get feedback on their performance in the absence of their group members. The purpose of this study is for us to test how effective our application is and how easy it is singers to use it. In order for us to find out how we can improve our application, we will ask you to perform three different tasks that we expect users to do with our application. As you are using our prototype, please try to think aloud at all times and describe what you are seeing. We will be observing you to identify any areas that we may need to improve, but as this study is meant simulate a user using our application on his/her own, please try to figure out how you might be able to complete each task on your own even if the interface is unclear. Before we get started, please read over and sign this consent form, which indicates that you will be participating in this study voluntarily. Here is our application's main screen. Before we begin, let me quickly show you how to use the iPhone simulator. * Task 1: Suppose you would like to check how to sing a note between C2 and C3, and make sure that you can sing on the correct pitch. How would you do this? Now suppose you would like to check a note between C3 and C4. * Task 2: Now suppose you would like to sing "Just Dance" by Lady Gaga, but before you start singing you would like to change some of the playback settings. For this session, you would like to show the main notes and main lyrics. You would also like to turn up the volume on the backup vocals and mute the instrumental and full song tracks. * Task 3: Now that you have finished configuring the settings, suppose you would like to practice singing "Just Dance."
